KWCares

• KW Cares, is one of the key elements of Keller Williams culture, reaching out to help associates and their immediate families when faced by hardships due to extreme and sudden emergencies.
• KW Cares provides need-based financial assistance KW families whose lives become interrupted by hurricanes, fires, and floods.
• KW Cares is funded primarily through donations from Keller Williams associates from across the United States and Canada.
• KW Cares is able to make education grants for eligible family members of KW associates enrolled in college or other institutions of higher learning, whose families have been challenged by unexpected emergencies.
• KW Cares has fun while raising money! Since 2006, KW Cares has sponsored lively concerts and auctions in conjunction with Mega Camp, featuring the Guess Who, Kansas, Kenny Loggins, America and Blood, Sweat, and Tears.
• KW Cares is directed by 13 very caring individuals, the Board of Directors.

Keller Williams Ottawa Cares raises over $65,000 from it's members each year.  This money is given to much needed causes within our community and currently KWO is supportiing three main groups:

1.  The Ottawa Rotary Club - A facility that opened in 1982, which is there to help and give extra support to families dealing with their children that have physical disabilities.

2.  Cambridge School - New play structure

3.  Help Lesotho

Help Lesotho, (HL) a Canadian charity, has 8,300 orphans and vulnerable children, 75 out-of-school youth, 400 grandmothers and 15 schools benefiting from its programs in the small mountain kingdom of Lesotho, southern Africa. HL has involved more than 60,000 Canadians in schools, churches, foundations and groups to provide aid in Lesotho which suffers from the world’s 3rd highest incidence of HIV/AIDS, food shortages and poverty.

Keller Williams Ottawa generously donates office space and support to HL to continue its work to deliver donor funds to those who need them most.

Keller Williams Ottawa also provides ongoing support for Harmony House, a support home for women and children in distress.
